Not far from Sudak there is a settlement with an unusual name for the proud of its ancient history of Crimea - New World. This village has no road that would cross it through and through. One route bypasses it from the north, without going inside the village. The road leading to the village goes from the western part of the village. Such an oddity is associated with the vineyards that were planted by Prince Golitsyn.

The settlement is located near the Green Bay, on the sides of which there are two mountains with bird names - Orel and Sokol. Modern cavers have proven that these mountains are composed of coral and originated from the sea. The peculiarity of such mountains is a huge number of labyrinths and grottoes of natural origin, many of which can be walked through. Some of them are currently inaccessible for the safety of tourists.

By Crimean standards, Novy Mir is a very young settlement. It appeared on the map only in 1878. Prince L.S. Golitsyn planted vineyards near Sudak, in which up to half a thousand grape varieties were grown, and also began the production of sparkling wines - champagne and other wines. The original name of the village was Paradise (Paradise), and it was home to winery workers and vineyard gardeners. Prince Golitsyn was engaged not only in the production of wine, but also in its aging. Inside the coral mountains, the microclimatic conditions for storing and aging wine were most suitable.

The atmosphere of the village is filled with the aroma of pine needles and juniper. Natural ozonation of air helps to cure many diseases of the bronchopulmonary system. The green bay, with its sand and pebble beach and shallow sea, is very convenient for swimming and sunbathing. The sea water is very clean and warm.

The sights of the village are associated with the names of Emperor Nicholas II and Prince L.S. Golitsyn. It was after the emperor visited the village that its name was changed to New World.

A tourist should definitely visit the Winery. Tasting is available for a fee. It is important to observe the measure and not get too carried away by the tasting process.

Although Chaliapin never sang in this grotto, the name of the great singer was given to him for the acoustics.

The Golitsin trail connects the village with the beach on the Tsarskaya Bay. The trail was damaged by an earthquake, so it is unsafe, although hundreds of tourists pass along it every day.

In front of the entrance to the plant there are monuments to Prince Golitsyn and Emperor Nikolai. Usually they are asked a blessing for a successful tasting and shake their hand.

There are three bays in Novy Svet, each of them has its own color. The main sandy and pebble beach in the center of the village is called Green Bay, as the yellow sand on the seabed takes on a green tint. This is a well-organized beach where sun loungers, umbrellas are rented, there is an opportunity to have a snack.

The Blue Bay is also called Tsar's Bay, so the Emperor himself bathed there. The gray sand of this cove really looks blue in the water. This beach is less equipped and is located half an hour's walk from the center of the village. You should take food and items for sunbathing with you.

Blue Bay is a wild place. The muddy bottom of the sea gives it a deep blue color. The beach is rocky and not equipped.

At the Equator cafe you can taste delicious fish dishes. Cafe "Morula" is famous for its pasties. While in Novy Svet, you should definitely visit the wine tasting. Without this, a visit to the village for many is meaningless.

A lot of juniper souvenirs are sold in the New World - combs, spoons, massage rollers, jewelry. You should definitely buy a couple of bottles - local champagne or wine.

It is very easy to get to Novy Svet - buses leave from the capital of Crimea in the direction of Sudak every 20 minutes. You can get to the village from the city by minibus - they go there every 30 minutes. But you can leave the New World no later than half past six in the evening.

To pass the Golitsyn trail, you must have good physical fitness. Therefore, it is recommended to train endurance before visiting this place. Also, in order to walk under the scorching sun on a hot summer day, you need to stock up on enough water, since you can buy water only in the village itself. There are no shops around the trail.
